A fund that integrates te Ao Māori principles has been added to the Mindful Money ethical investing platform.

TAHITO co-founder Temuera Hall says the TAHITO Te Tai o Rehua Fund sets a high sustainable and ethical base premised upon indigenous Māori values.

He says it should come into its own as investors request more transparency and accountability on where and how their funds are invested.

Other funds added to the platform include Kernel Wealth, which will invest in climate action such as electric vehicles, and Generate KiwiSaver, which has invested in social housing by supporting Salvation Army’s social housing bond.

Mindful co-founder and former Green MP Barry Coates say the Mindful Fundsbadge is a reliable way to identify ethical investment options and get beyond greenwashing and misleading claims.

All the 17 new funds allocate funds towardscompanies that are making a positive impact in New Zealand and internationally.
