Our people

We’re a new charity, driven by our mission of making money a force for good. Our founder, Barry Coates was involved in the start up of ethical investing in the UK in the early 1990s, using his experience of sustainability and his Masters degree in Management from Yale. He then went on to lead NGOs (like Oxfam New Zealand), mainstream fair trade (working with some great allies), and get a few awards (like Sustainability Champion award from the Sustainable Business Network).

We now have a team of staff and volunteers to undertake thorough research, put together this on- line platform and get the word out to the public.

We have been guided by our Advisory Board who have generously donated their time and expertise to support the development of Mindful Money.
